Cohen is 3!!

June 29th, 2010

I am soooo far behind.  The only way for me to log onto my blog right now is on Tyler’s laptop. I need him to help me but I keep forgetting and he is playing basketball right now so I am just going to get started here.  I thought I would start with Cohen’s 3rd Birthday. Almost all pictures are on my computer so his party pics will have to wait.

Cohen turned 3 on June 17th and here are some fun things about him:

*Still super cuddly

*Can sleep pretty much anywhere

*Loves Cars, hot wheels, dinos, Toy Story, books, trucks, Dad’s ipad, and pretty much anything on TV

*Knows all his colors, shapes and is getting good at knowing letters.  Is starting to try and write them.  He likes to “spell” things.  Meaning sting together 5-6 letters to form his word. He just wants to be like Hailee.

*Is having a hard time getting used to the idea of potty training. I am really feeling the pressure with pre-school starting in August and a new baby.

*Pretty laid back and goes with the flow.

*Got a new bike and loves to ride it whenever he can

*Has super fat wide feet and Mom has a hard time finding shoes that fit that don’t cost a ton.

* Still loves food. Pizza, pasta, meat, all fruit, brocoli, peas, salad, Dad’s smoothies, anything with sugar, all cereal. The list could go for awhile.

He had a great birthday and I will post more about his party later!

Funny

April 22nd, 2010

Last night I was making dinner and as usual I had 2 helpers.  I left them at the counter for a minute to go talk to Tyler who was working in his office and when I came back Cohen had smeared butter all over the cabinet. Which is actually more a Hailee-thing to do but he still did so  I put him in time-out.  When I came back to clean it up Hailee looks at me and says “I guessCohen does not want to go back to live with Heavenly Father”  It totally made me crack up!  Maybe we should remind her of all the crazy things she did and still does!  :)

In Everything There is a Season…

April 8th, 2010

This feels like the motto of my life lately.  I am not really fond of being pregnant.  I enjoy feeling the baby move and when the baby is here but the rest is really hard for me.  I don’t like gaining weight especially after working hard to lose it.  It is hard also to see a bunch of friends training hard for a Half Marathon and I can’t join in. I was in really good running shape before I got pregnant and I know I would have done well and it is a long hard road back.  Plus throw in trips we can’t  take this summer, clothes I can’t buy, foods that bother me, not sleeping well, going to the bathroom all the time, moodiness and being overly sensitive  can all be too much at times.  I feel bad complaining since there are people that would die to be pregnant.  I just have to remember that this is not forever and there are seasons in life. I just wish this one would go a little faster!!  Could I be more of whiner??

It’s a Boy!!

March 18th, 2010

imagesAnother boy in the Berry house!  We had our 20 week ultrasound today and there is no doubt that it is a baby boy!  We are really excited. Cohen has been so fun and hopefully this one will be too!  We worried about Hailee’s reaction but she doesn’t seem too sad.  She just said she wants the baby to share her room.  Now onto names!!

19 Weeks

March 11th, 2010

cartoon19I am so not one of those people that posts pregnancy pictures of themselves or even takes them. I feel like a huge ugly cow so it is not going to happen.  Let’s just say I dress in my closet while pregnant.  But things are moving along. My ultrasound is next week and we are getting curious to see what we are having. I kinda lean toward girl but really don’t know.  Hailee really really wants a girl so maybe that sways me too.  But I love boys too. Cohen has been such a fun kid.

I crave slurpees, Subway, burritos from Taco Bell (gross I know), chips, water, strawberries, and Now and Later candies.  It is amazing I have only gained 8 pounds.  The least I have gained in all the 3 pregnancies and this point. But don’t worry it is coming!!

Also, My Dr. told me with Cohen that I cannot try for a VBAC and when I tell people this they love to question it!  Why??  You think I am lying?  You think I want to have my stomach ripped open again and not be able to run or cough normally for months!  Really??

Anyway..on that note I am off to watch The Office.

Modern Family

We love the show Modern Family!  It is so funny!  We love all the characters. My favorites are Cam and Phil.  If you have not watched it you have to at least give it a try!  The pilot is one of the funniest we have seen!  We also love the Costco episode!

So I don’t have any pictures to go with this post. We even went on a trip and I forgot my camera.  I really need to work on that.  But here are somethings that have been going on at our house the past few weeks.

*Went to Utah over Hailee’s school break to visit my sister.  We had a great time!  The kids did fine in the car and loved the cousin time. Carlee and I had all these things planned and barely did any of them. The kids were content  to just play and be with each other.  It was really nice and relaxing.  We did go to a place called Pirate’s Island which is like Chuckie Cheese which they loved.  We also went to Temple Square and lots of yummy places to eat.

*While in Utah Carlee and I went to an Elton John/Billy Joel concert. SO FUN!  Don’t laugh!  They were so fun to see live.  We grew up with my parents listening to them and grew to like them as well!

*Hailee is loving school.  She was happy to get back. She is moving right along. I get worried sometimes if she is behind or not (she isn’t) but I think it is a mixture of my crazy hormones and me just being crazy in general! :) But really is doing well and her teachers think she is very sweet. Really?? ;)

*Cohen refuses to be potty-trained.  He needs to be by August so he can go to preschool.  He is funny. He loves to work on his “homework” while Hailee does.  He has surprised us lately but knowing some of his letters and some sounds and knowing what his name looks like.  Funny how they just pick up on things.  Plus Hailee always plays school with him.

*This pregnancy is going well. I am 17 weeks and feeling great.  Can’t find half of my maternity clothes.  I really really don’t want to buy all new ones. Especially if this one ends up being our last.  I am starting to feel the baby move which is fun.

*Tyler is gone a lot right now and is gone most of the week next week.  But as he says, it beats the alternative of no job. But he loves his job and loves all the opportunities he has with it.

So there is a small update on us. Kinda boring without pictures.

1…2…3…

aba0178lI wish…

That’s right. Baby #3 is coming this summer. Most likely the last week in July since I will be having a C-Section and get to go a week or so early!  Yay! Since I have gone to 41 weeks with both kids it is like 2 weeks early for me!

I am in my 14th week and feeling pretty good. The 1st Trimester was rough just in the fact that my hormones were all over the place and I was so incredibly tired all the time. I feel for Tyler as he picked up much of my slack. Since no one really knew my friends probably thought I was losing my mind since I was always tired and in workout clothes a lot! But I am feeling good now and just starting to feel like I am getting thicker.  You know those 20+ pounds I lost last year? Well, I am starting to find them again! :)

Both kids are excited. Hailee has a zillion questions and really really wants a girl!  But says she will not cry if the baby is a boy.  Haha. Cohen likes to lift my shirt to see a baby but otherwise his life is same as always.

So it is an exciting time at our house and can’t wait to see what we are having in about 6 weeks or so!

I’m Alive!

Yes we are alive!  I can’t believe I have not posted anything since Thanksgiving.  I was all ready to catch up today but my camera cord is in Texas with Tyler. :)

Here are some small updates and will post some pics when Tyler gets back!

* Christmas was great.  The kids got way to much from everyone but have actually played with almost everything.  Hailee’s favorites were her new doll bed, jewelry box, and Princess Barbie Collection. Cohen LOVES his Lightning McQueen CD player, new cars and carrier, and McQueen blanket that Grandma Berry made.

*Saw the Blind Side with my Mom and Sister and it was my favorite movie I have seen in a long time. I can’t wait to buy it.

*Made New Year’s Resolutions.  More Water, FHE every week, less computer time, take more pictures, you know the usual.

* Hailee got her own library card and was super happy. We are reading the Ramona Books right now.  Anyone remember those?  I loved them growing up.

* Want to potty train Cohen really bad but he is afraid to sit on the toilet.  Anyone have suggestions??

* Tyler is traveling a lot this year at work.  Good and Bad.  Good he has a job, bad  is doing the single parent thing! :)

Our lives are not too exciting these days!  But I will post pics soon.  Here a picture my friend April took over Thanksgiving when she was visiting from Texas. I will post more on that later!

Thanksgiving

Tyler and his sisters.

DSC_0081_2Some of the Family.

We had a great Thanksgiving week.  We got to meet up with old friends early in the week and always have fun with them.  I actually had to work on Thanksgiving Day so Tyler took the kids to Redding on Wednesday morning so I have 2 DAYS alone in my house. I met a friend for dinner and shopping. It was a great break.

Thanksgiving working was not too bad. I work with really nice people and I was able to leave somewhat early and Tyler saved me lots of food when I finally got to my Mom’s house. The kids had a great time up with Grandma and cousins from the Berry side. On Thanksgiving they built a bonfire and roasted marshmellows and played in the field below Tyler’s parents house. Toni says it is a new tradition. They also went and saw Planet 51 and Hailee got to have 2 cousin sleepovers.  We had a 90th Birthday for Tyler’s Great -Grandma. (Gam)  I got up early and found some good deals but also still have some rain checks I need to go and cash in.  Saturday was spent shopping with my Mom and SIL Kathryn and a yummy lunch at Olive Garden.  Sunday Whitney finally had her baby boy, Landon. She was such a tropper and looked great for being a week overdue.  We really had such a great time and can’t wait until Christmas for more time up there.

We have already had lots of December fun.  We got a tree and decorated our house inside and out. Tyler took the kids to a local place and went on a sleigh ride. Hailee had a performance at school and we make Rice Krispy houses.  This week we are heading out to see some local lights. My sister comes in Wed night and we are heading to Redding to see my Dad in Journey to Bethlehem, a Santa Workshop , and of course the new Princess movie. Should be lots of fun!!
